Perception for platforms that sense on the move, from satellite to drone to robotic systems. Thermal and RGB imagery see the world differently: thermal holds up in low illumination while RGB brings abundant colors, textures and large datasets. Fusing them yields detectors stronger than either alone.
The group applies thermal-RGB fusion to cattle monitoring from drones in field work with LandView and Serecon, to traffic and pedestrian detection on public visible-infrared benchmarks, and to cattle weight prediction from single-view images.
